How Much Time Do Our Senators Waste?

I was scanning a little info today referred by a friend and discovered that our Senators have been quite busy over the last year proposing bills for various reasons and realized why our system is so coagulated. How do they have time to do anything if they are proposing hundreds of bills-which must go through the process of a bill to become law, (Remember Bill on Capitol Hill?), instead of spending time trying to better the area they have been given responsibility for-the state their constituents live in FOR EXAMPLE?! First let me say that I am not a graduate of political science and my opinion probably means absolutely nothing whatsoever, however, I would think that the people that read this are capable of READING and can come to their own conclusion, so here is only one example out of thousands which exist at http://thomas.loc.gov/ and can be reviewed at your own discretion.

102. S.AMDT.1660 to H.R.2862 To establish a congressional commission to examine the Federal, State, and local response to the devastation wrought by Hurricane Katrina in the Gulf Region of the United States especially in the States of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and other areas impacted in the aftermath and make immediate corrective measures to improve such responses in the future.
Sponsor: Sen Clinton, Hillary Rodham [NY] (introduced 9/8/2005) Cosponsors (16)
Latest Major Action: 9/14/2005 Amendment SA 1660 ruled out of order by the chair.

Maybe I'm just completely in the dark on political issues, but what does a senator in NEW YORK have to do with problems in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama? Don't those states have their own elected Senators? Isn't it their responsibility to create the paperwork for bills dealing with their specific states? I just made a simple mathematic equation to estimate how many bills must be reviewed and it is simply 50 x 100 = 5000. Poor Bush, no wonder he makes such FU$^@D up decisions-he's busy vetoing, signing, or passing over 20 bills a day.

While I'm on the subject, have you written to your Senator or Representative today, yesterday, ever in your life? You have the right-as a free American citizen-to write to your representative and find out exactly what they are doing for you and how they represent what you THE PEOPLE want done for you!!!!!!!!!
