Soooooo Much to Write-Soooo Little Time....

I discuss writing techniques, methodology, thought patterns, creativity, and anything leading towards production of morphing an idea into a final printed novel with fellow author/writers, and their experiences are very similar in nature. Although the strange individual emerges infrequently-totally misunderstood by anyone listening-the majority not only write, they actually imagine themselves as the characters they write about, trying to emulate feelings, emotions, and capabilities to be more understanding about the subject at hand. Writers with established characters which repeat themselves in each new novel tend to almost possess the writer-they wake in the night with an idea rushing to write it down before sleeping again, or dream about the individual character being themselves, even creating voices to coincide with their image of the being they have formulated. I personally don't have repetitious characters yet because each novel I have written has absolutely nothing to do with any of the previous ones. I know there are many authors which will argue this, because each one wants to be original in nature and be unique in their field. I believe that the great authors of this world we currently strive in will be determined long after they are gone simply due to the plethora of reading material available to mankind. We simply don't have time to read all the great novels out there in our lifetime. How will anyone know my writing is fantastic if they never read it? Eventually, someone will pick up one of my paperbacks and shuffle through it, but until that happens, it is simply a dead tree on the shelf collecting dust. I will write all my life, or until I go blind, or get writerscramp, but after I die, there will be many novels to read that someone in the future will benefit from. My intentions are to provide realistic possible issues to the surface for discussion, events unknown to many, daily tasks to others. I have heard several situations where authors get stuck and can't come up with subjects to write about-writersblock-but I don't know how that is possible with the unlimited possibilities flying around us every day. My problem is having too many subjects to write about and not enough years to complete them... Any authors running short on ideas feel free to ask and I will fill you with enough situations to last you a lifetime. Happy reading and good luck writing.

LIFE IS A MOVIE and WE ARE THE STARS!!!

Today's episode turned up another XXXXX number of people dead around the world. That's right. Everyday X number of people die. Dead people are everywhere. Bodies over here, carcasses over there. The reason why? Does it matter? Does anyone even care anymore? Has death become so mundane that it doesn't even phase the mind anymore? X amount of people were killed in Baghdad today from car bombs, X amount of people died from malnutrition in Zimbabweh, hundreds died when their boats overturned from trying to escape Africa and get to the shores of the Canary Islands, thousands died in the World Trade Center buildings when they collapsed after being bombed by 747 airliners, etc. etc. etc..... When did we decide to accept these numbers as normal everyday life? Why do we allow these events to happen, yet become so passive, and so caring, and concerned when criminals are treated less than perfect? You know what I mean!! We know what is right and what is wrong. Many times the writing is on the wall, but we ignore it because of some bullshit law that was designed, written, and placed into the books by criminals themselves. What we are doing by accepting these "LAWS" or policies that DO NOT protect the innocent citizen, but instead prevent ENFORCEMENT of the LAW by either tying the law officer's hands or the judges ability to actually judge, allowing criminal activity to GET AWAY WITH MURDER!! What can anyone do that isn't a lawyer, judge, lawmaker, senator, or representative do? Well my first solution to this issue would normally be to vote the bastards and bastardeses out of office and find someone honest enough to get back to sincere law enforcement but that can't be done when electronic voting has been clearly seen as unreliable and subject to total manipulation. Since we can't get the criminals out of politics, then what can we do as a collective society? Are we simply hosed? Do we just make sure our guns are fully loaded at the house and shoot any body that tries to get past our electric fences and killer dogs? The little lady comes to mind across the street bringing an apple pie to welcome the new neighbor into the neighborhood and gets shot before she can reach the doorsteps. Has our country lost it's FU%^(ng mind? Have we gone so far off the edge that we are living a damned Arnold Swartzennager movie to escape reality? I don't accept all the dead bodies....I don't accept my daughter getting raped because she was in the wrong place at the wrong time....I don't accept my family being punished and forced to live in a terrible neighborhood because my representative considers their yacht and lambrogini more important than our living conditions...I definitely don't accept a president that puts his own personal gains far above and beyond the terrible living conditions he has placed the entire world in by acting like a spoiled brat instead of a man in control of the most powerful country in the world...I don't accept ducking my head in shame when I venture outside the USA and am considered the lowest of dung under the boots of a pig farmer...and most of all, I don't accept my fellow Americans in arms losing their lives every day for something that makes no sense whatsoever in any shape, form, or fashion-NO CAUSE!!!!!!!IF we are watching life, and it is a movie, then it would appear to me that this one is going to have a hell of a bad ending..............

LIMITING BOOKS TO A MINIMUM!

What if tomorrow someone introduced a headline which rang throughout the world with the power of the sound of bells from Notre Dame screaming, "THERE WILL BE NO MORE BOOKS WRITTEN ANYMORE-ANYWHERE-IN ANY LANGUAGE-WE ALREADY HAVE TOO MUCH TO READ!"
Would these simply be words on the front page cover? Printing factories would have a few things to say about it I'm sure, (since it's their bread and butter), but we could easily survive on current parchments indeed. There are so many avenues to read from today covering every subject imaginable-and many which aren't-that no one alive today can possibly read everything that exists out there if they did nothing else again in their lives except read. Hell, no body will even read this waffle I'm typing now, so why do people insist on expressing their opinions, elating us with their charms, and persisting to seek out that ever lingering desire to be placed into the eye of the ever watchful public? Why do more and more books on rubbish keep leaking into the system which cover items such as Watching Bumpers Rust, or Have You Ever Looked at Life Through the Eyes of a Cow? People are publishing their own books through PODs left and right-since breaking the ice with a publishing company is next to impossible-and the level of writing has diluted the industry so harshly that people only read the first chapter or so, then throw the book away if there is no interest. I have written several great novels which tell stories of the wildest imagination one could hope to find, however, without the publisher's push, they remain lost in the world of Bumper Rust and Cow's Eyes. The bottom line is that we have to chose what we read in today's society since there are so many viruses mixed in with the good, better, and best novels and making those choices can be hard. Walk into whichever bookstore you want to today and watch which books reach out and grab you, verses the ones who meekly hide on their quiet shelves, hoping no one will disturb their peace. The books which grab you have cost someone a very large amount of money to produce COVERS that REACH OUT and SLAP YOU IN THE FACE! Those babies cost a lot to have the sparkles, and the vivid movement, and even the voice that speaks to you as you pass by from the micro-chip embedded in the cover. Whatever it takes to get your money, it will be done, amen.
SOOOOOOOOOOO, would you give a damn if all printing stopped around the globe?
